YOU NEED TO GET A DICTIONARY
I was thinking today about definitions. When things are defined, there is a standard by or a foundation on which every other thing related to that definition is held to or built upon. Without definitions, opinions and assumptions run wild.
Let me give you a classic example. A man and a woman are in a relationship. But in this relationship, the two hardly ever talk to each other. They’ve been seeing each other for about a year. She “thinks” that the relationship is serious and that one day he will ask for her hand in marriage. He “thinks” that he’s got it made. Enjoying all the benefits of marriage without the commitment. He’s actually planning on leaving her soon.
The problem in this scenario is that neither one of them invested the effort and time to define their relationship to one another. To really and truly understand what each other hoped to get out of the relationship. So, because of assumptions, one or both of them would end up getting hurt.
Definitions close the door to confusion. In the Kingdom, we use the Word of God to define things. Not our intellect, not society, not our friends, and not the culture. When the Word of God defines our lives and how we handle issues, we can live a more fulfilled life because the things that most are confused about, we can see clearly and respond to appropriately.

What I want the most is for this to not be about me. But rather the focus be placed on Jesus Christ; the author and finisher of our faith. I am just a vessel willing to be used by him and for him.
Mae Lott Terry I truly enjoyed your point on “submissive ” we tend to put our own defamation on the meaning of “submissive ” and as I was reading your blog I too understood more better God’s messages about being “submissive ” through his word
Thank you! I’m so glad to hear that!
Terry, such insight!!!! Like I told you tonight, I truly enjoy reading what you have to say. In life, so many of us are walking around lost because for one we don’t know our purpose. Why am I here? Why was I born? Why are we guessing? Why are we assuming? The Word of GOD is that dictionary for us. The Word defines us. We were created for his glory. We are to witness of his goodness, to bring someone to Him. Amen!! Love you!!
