THERE’S A HEALER IN THE HOUSE

Title: There’s A Healer In The House

Scripture: Mark 7:31-33

Notes:

Our ways are not God’s ways. Our thoughts are not His thoughts. Even though we were created in His image, His Word shows us how to think and how to conduct ourselves. God moves within our hearts. He facilitates deliverance in our souls. Healing is manifested when we operate in the Kingdom. But healing is not limited only to our physical bodies. There is healing that takes place in the heart, in the mind, in the spirit, and in the soul! But in order to experience true healing, one must be in the Word and be governed by it.

The text is about a man who had a speech impediment and was deaf. The people petitioned Jesus to touch this man and relieve him. Jesus removed him from the multitudes, took him aside, and had a personal connection with him. Jesus placed his fingers in the man’s ears, spat and touched his tongue. After doing so, this man was has healed. This was unusual. This is how the Kingdom works. God works in ways that are unusual to us. Ways that may seem weird to us in our natural minds. When we pray and seek God for things in our lives, understand that He doesn’t always answer in the conventional sense. Most often, your answer will come in a way that you never thought was possible. In the Kingdom, this type of answer is normal and expected!!

So like this man who was deaf and had trouble speaking, we need to accept and receive the blessings from the Kingdom, even if they come to us in strange ways.

What I want the most is for this to not be about me. But rather the focus be placed on Jesus Christ; the author and finisher of our faith. I am just a vessel willing to be used by him and for him.

  1. You had a very good point and it was one that I did not know about . I did not know that there was a difference between grace and mercy.
    Keep up the good word.
